Job Description:
Licensed healthcare professional responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. The job includes a mix of medication knowledge, advising customers, and managing inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, package, and dispense prescription and over-the-counter drugs according to a physician’s prescription.
- Educate patients on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and other government regulations.
- Maintain adequate stock of medicines, check expiry dates, and prevent shortages.
- Provide guidance on general health, including vaccinations, vitamins, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain proper documentation of prescriptions, sales records, and regulatory reports.
- Ensure that medicines meet safety and quality standards.
- Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Board passer with Pharmacy License
- Strong knowledge of medicines, attention to detail, customer service, problem-solving, and regulatory compliance
- 1 to 2 years work experience
