Introducing Vita: know your numbers, then move them

Most people have a lab report in an email attachment somewhere: thirty numbers, a reference range beside each, and no explanation of which ones matter. Vita, the health intelligence product being built with support from GoRocky, exists to close that gap.

Vita turns blood-test results into clear scores and practical actions, so people can track progress and make better choices before their next test. It is in private beta, and The Weight Is Over participants are among the first invited in.

How Vita works

The loop starts with a report the user already has. They upload their own lab-report PDF to their own Vita account. AI reads it and extracts each biomarker with its value, unit, reference range, result date and source report. The user checks that extraction against the original and corrects anything read wrong. Ambiguous rows are held out rather than guessed at.

A versioned rules engine then calculates four health-area scores, Heart, Metabolic, Kidney and Gout, plus one overall Vita Score. The distinction matters: AI helps Vita read and explain the report, but published rules calculate the scores. Every score traces back to the markers behind it, and Vita shows what evidence contributed and what is missing.

Then it gets practical. Vita orders next steps into lifestyle actions, monitoring or retest suggestions, and items worth raising with a clinician. Lifestyle comes first. Users set a weekly focus of one lead habit and up to two supporting habits, with a short daily check-in to record follow-through. When someone reports a habit is too hard and an easier version exists, Vita offers the easier one rather than blaming the user.

Add a later report and Vita recalculates, showing which markers moved. The principle underneath: habits measure follow-through, lab reports measure biology.

Reading the number honestly

The Vita Score runs from 0 to 100, where higher generally means lower modelled risk from the evidence Vita could verify. Alongside it sits a separate confidence rating for how complete that evidence was. High confidence means at least 80% weighted coverage. Below 50%, Vita suppresses the number entirely rather than presenting thin evidence as precision.

That restraint is deliberate. A green score is a good sign based on what Vita could verify. It is not medical clearance, a diagnosis, a percentile or a prediction. Vita is not a doctor, clinic, laboratory, pharmacy or emergency service, and it does not diagnose or prescribe. Vita Intelligence, the in-product AI, can explain a score and help someone prepare better questions for their doctor. It does not decide the score.
